Unfortunately, due to the huge amount of literature in the modern world, very often you can hear such reviews about the book: “soooo I didn’t find what I was searching for”, “I reviewed what I have already known”, “nothing new”.
The book called “Project Management, Planning and Control” is not like that at all. To be honest, I am shocked because it has been a while since I last read the good quality business literature. This book helped me to understand how projects are structured.
In addition, in the Skill Profile my main focus is on the Project Manager Skill, so I was looking for a high-quality literature in order to improve my knowledge not only in project management but also in project planning.
Nice bonus: in the book you can find all sorts of diagrams, pictures and tables, which are pleasant to look through and help to even better understand the theory that Ing Albert Lester tells.
However, it is difficult to write essays on such book, because the theoretical part is given there exactly as in the textbook.
I recommend everyone to read this book, even if you are good at all sorts of things in project management.
It is not so easy to read as Kiyosaki, but I personally found million times more benefits from it, and the knowledge is clearer than in motivational literature.
I’m sure, I’ll read this book again, because many aspects from suck kind of literature, our brain has tendency to forget.
Honestly, such books generally increase self-esteem, because you are no longer lost as a beginner and you really feel much better than if you had only used Brainstorm, Gantt Chart and AAR for the rest of your life. I'm not saying it's bad, but for the really cool guys, it's just not enough. Therefore, please read.
