I decided to read this book because I began to be interested in the biographies of successful people who really achieved something in life.
The difference between Dell and other companies: rapid market entry, excellent customer service and a firm commitment to the production of high-quality, custom-made computer systems.
Dell supports an entrepreneurial culture by hiring the right people and encouraging research, independence and growth among its employees. To maintain high productivity, Dell is narrowing the range of job responsibilities and reducing the number of workgroups.
I completely agree with this, because the more people work on a task, the less they invest. It is much better to focus on a small but effective group of people who will energize each other and be on good terms. Often the company cut the groups in half, and soon they grew to twice their original size.
Dell is an experimenter. He teaches his employees not to be afraid of change. I really liked how customer-oriented the company is. And that Dell predicted that the internet would change the way we buy. I am very inspired by this book and I believe that everyone should read it in order to understand how to achieve such scale of the company and not listen to other people who say that something will not work.
