Alchemist

I decided to read alchemist because I’ve heard from many people how good it is and I agree, its very nice book to read, with deeper understanding of the stories you can get very good advises to entrepreneurial life.

Santiago {the main character)

• travel constatly, he choosed this lifestyle because he belive that otherwise people would get too involved  in your life and they would try to conform to how they think you should live. This idea of living is very interested to me, Santiago was consicious about influence of other people, in my opinion It’s important to be consicious about who you letting influence your mind and if you are not happy about your current surrounding, It’s your responsibility to change it, traveling is kinda radical decision to me, because I think, you can always find yourself better surrounding, better friends, better advisors, better teamplayers if you are not satisfied with them, but to have quality people is important and if you are moving constatntly, are you losing something? Influence of quality people can be life changer in possitive way in my opinion.

Purpose

I was amazed how Santiago was committed to go to achieve his dream and he keept going even though he had doubts. I think Coelho is trying to show us that many people give up on their dreams, they have their calling too, but they ignore them. The king Melchizedek in the story describes it as a Personal Legend which everyone has, we feels it more in childhood and during adulting we are learn to live according social expectations and we forget about it. I liked the fact that king explained that people can achieve  their dreams any time in their life and if they decide so universe will cooperate to help to achieve it.

Sacrifice 

Coelho describes that we have to sacrifice during our way to achieve goals. Santiago had to sacrifice many times. He had to sell all his sheep to have money to travel to Egypt. He had to work in a shop of Crystal merchant to earn money to continue achieve his dream, he had to leave his love Fatima

GIVE up

In the moment when Santiago made enough money to either travel back home or to continue to Egypt he decided to go home, he gave up, but he changed his mind when he remembered the kings words that universe will work with him when he pursue his calling and that universe will help to make it happen…he recognised that he made decision based on emotions of fear and decided to change it. Im taking out of this fact that we need some people to bring us up and fact how positive thinking can change our results in life.

The Alchemist 

The Alchemist helped Santiago to decide if he should stay with girl Fatima or he should keep going on his way to follow his dream. He explained that if he would stay and he would stop pursuing his goal he would feel unfulfilled for the rest of his life and that true love will never hold you back from achieving your goals.

The importance of spirituality 

This book convinced me how mindset is important. 

!people give up on their calling because they get too comfortable, are afraid to fall and dont take risks!

-believe that universe will help you
