Why I choose this book?

  • This book is often refferenced and it cought my attention. We are in the process of organizing an Lasergame Tournament so I wanted to see where I can use it.

 

 

What is the future of offering?

  • Education, Escapism, Entertainment, Estetics

 

 

We live in an era of consumerism. The access to commodities and basic goods is no longer in question.

If you would ask me what an ideal life would be, I would say one with basic needs covered. Followed by fun, excitement and growth. Over all quality experiences. If we can offer those, people will be more than happy to pay us adequately.

 

There are 4 categories in which we can offer different expiriences.

Education, Escapism, Entertainment, Estetics

 

It is a helpfull thinking framework. How can we add education experiences to our products or service, how can we entertain people more, help them escape or get immersed in esthetics.

 

So how can I use it in Lasergame tournament?

 

Education

 

What could we teach them about?

How the guns work. What strategies do profesional team use. How do army teams work. How to use special guns. How to work in pair.

 

Entertainment

 

How can we entertain people in between the games?

We could comment the ongoing game. We could project videos, supercuts of people playing. We could be watching funny videos. We could make a performance with Kikin.

 

Esthetics

How can we immerse people into the experience?

We could have nice theme music. We could hang nice posters all around. Have confety and other party stuff decorating the room.

 

Escapism

We could add competetion between the game. We could play yes or no (in lines) questions.

 

 

OVERALL, the main question is how can we make the experience for the customer more pleasent and valuable. I should forget that the experience composes of many contact points and we should improve all contacts with our customers. Thus Posters, Videos, Registration form, Email.
